Research sponsored by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on blood cancers ranges from basic research that utilizes the latest tools of genomics (gene structure and function analysis) to studies that translate basic discoveries to new treatments.
These research efforts are driven by our mission to increase the cure rate of blood cancers. As we enter the new millennium, LLS-sponsored scientists are utilizing advanced technologies, such as DNA microarray chips, to diagnose and seek cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. We support outstanding scientists at the forefront of blood cancer research at centers throughout the world through our Career Development Program, Translational Research Program and Specialized Center of Research (SCOR) program.
